about ooh four times this week my computer has crashed, twice when trying to transfer songs from computer to music player thingy and twice when i'm trying to log it (i'll type the password, press enter then it would freeze)
i don't know what it could be precisely, but my ram has been annoying in the past and i don't 100% trust them as they were made by the shop selling them although they were reviewed as good.

anything that can help me?
Rob :)

Do you have two sticks?

Remove one and try that.

If it persists then swap to the other.

If it continues, it probably isn't RAM.

This, to me, sounds like a CPU malfunction. Can you upload your rig specs for us?
=)

ok i switched the ram and there wasn't a difference, and tried it with an old stick of ram and still no difference. so i don't think its ram anymore.

and as for my setup:
Processor - Intel core 2 duo (2GHz)
motherboard - 4COREDUAL-SATA2
ram - two 1gb DDR2 sticks
sound - Realtek HD audio output
video - ATI Radeon HD 2400 PRO

(i recently got the latest bios for motherboard and drivers for graphics card)

thanks people for your input.

You just recently updated your graphics drivers you say!
Did you remove the old ones properly first?, uninstalling and using driver cleaner pro?

As Social said, could easily be driver conflicts

ye i made sure, as i didn't at one point then went back over it and deleted them. i used a program suggested by ATI that searches in all the nooks and crannies for all the files related.
