Fortunately today nothing seems to be wrong in my desktop! I was on the crucial website and downloaded the memory advisor tool doodah and got this after the scan: Now correct me if wrong but thats 4096 Gb of RAM it says my motherboard can hold.. Anybody know of a ...

I was on the crucial website and downloaded the memory advisor tool doodah and got this after the scan:



Now correct me if wrong but thats 4096 Gb of RAM it says my motherboard can hold.. Anybody know of a 1Tb DDR RAM stick for sale?? =D

You know you joke about a 1TB stick... but seriously.. I wonder how many years it will be..

Not so long ago when my dad bought a PC (the first one I used) the hard drive was a matter of megabytes - not even a GB.. I'll check with him - he said it was only 1MB but he may be joking, exaggerating or just got it wrong..

I dont think a terabyte stick of RAM is in the works, we have only just got 4Gb sticks, the next big step is building it into the processor much like Cell does. That allows huge memory bandwidth so I'm looking forward to that!

It may not be the idealistic front for the future but if the way in which the technology works changes or not - TB sticks will still most likely be available, every year the memory stick capacity for a phone or other device practically doubles if not more - not so long ago a 12mb card would have been a "Woah" now it is not at all uncommon to be poncing about with 2gb cards in there (or more).
