Default DDR2 Rams with Different Frequencies...does It Work?

Well the title says it all... Im just about to purchase a new DDR2 ram... the one that i have in my pc right now has a freq of 333Mhz while the new one that im trying to purchase I just read it has 800Mhz... Im just wondering if it ...

Check out crucial.com in america or the crucial.com site in the UK I had the same problem about a year ago about upgrading ram (it has to be the same type ddr 4300,5300 that type of thing )
Let them run the scanner and they will tell you which to get(note there is a scanner for xp and vista)

Your RAM is probably not 333, it's probably 667, and speeds below DDR2-800 do affect performance. RAM is cheap enough that it's not worth it anyway. Just take out the old stuff.

DDR= double data rate
So 333x2=666/7

you should be able to mix, but your 800 will slow down to the slower speed, it should all be fine

It may cause a problem because if you want to join the two ddr2 rams and use their memory and speed,the frequencies must be exactly the same.

nope. im not lying here, they work fine together, although your fastest speed module will slow down to the slower, there will be no problems, trust me,
