| I have recently bought a new graphics card for my brothers computer and after a bit of fiddling round it was working ok. Out of the blue he is suddenly getting an error message and the computer will not boot. It just says: R9250PCI-D3 S4C Which I'm certain relates to the graphics card as it is a GeCube ATI Radeon 9250. I unplugged the graphics card, and then plugged the monitor into the motherboard. Now when the computer starts it won't load and all it says is :915G/915GB/910GL PCI ACCELERATED SVGA BIOS BUILD NUMBER: 1235 PC 14.4 DECOMPILATION OR DISASSEMBLY PROHIBITED I can't get onto anything. What do you think I should do? Any helps really appreciated! Thanks Daz |

| If that doesn't work (it's the best first point of call though). I'd suggest it could simply be caused by the installation of the card. As card's pretty much have their own bios's. I'm guessing you've installed this into a hp, or Packard Bell (etc) system? It could also be (hopefully not) a damaged motherboard.

| Thanks for both your relpies. I tried pressing the F keys to get into the BIOS but the error message comes up straight away. I did this both when the graphics card was inserted and plugged into the monitor and when it was taken out and the monitor plugged into the motherboard. It is a Dell computer we've had for about 9 months. I tried inserting the reinstallation disc to reinstall the OS (XP), but still no luck. What can I try next? |

| Turn all power off and disconnect the power cord, there is a little battery on the motherboard, take that out for a few minutes then put it back in
