Dell 8400 cpu cooler change

hi
i have a dell 8400 and i was thinking of changing the cpu cooler to a thermaltake big typoon. does anyone know if this is possible or has anyone worked much with a 8400

It will be possible if the motherboard has standard screw mounts and is the right socket. Googling shows the 8400 is a Pentium 4, so you may have trouble getting one that isn't Socket 775 if your P4 is a Willamette, Northwood, or sometimes a Prescott.
