| as it says on the tin really. bit more info: on the stuff that came with the Heatsink and using the bios to control the fan to around 40C, but the difference in core temps is around 10C, Core 1 temp 50 - 53C, core 2 temp 40 - 42, what is the fault here? used 3 different programmes and all report the same difference running AMD Athlon X2 5200+ (windsor) on vista home premium SP1 |

| Hey, My cores are a bit like that too. Around 10C difference. I made a thread before, and everyone said it was fine. Don't worry, shouldn't be any fault.

| same here with my 4600+ dualcore always been 10-15C difference so wouldnt worry about it. |

| Yea, there will always be differences, it's nothing to worry about. It will just be that one core is being used more than the other, which is normal.

| ok then makes sense if some programs are still only using one core, thanks guys, and are those temps about right as well, are they safe? |

| Yea, those temps are fine, CPU's in general can mange upto and over 70C, I'm not sure about that specific CPU, but that temp is fine for all. |
