Default Easy Tune 5 Overclocking utility ??

Hey, i've been using this Gigabyte program called 'Easy Tune 5' for overclocking the cpu, its really useful its like a mini BIOS but in the OS... anyway, I overclocked my cpu to 3ghz (core 2 duo e6750) with it and I ran 3DMark06 all the way through no problem, so I thought it would be a stable overclock. Anyway I started playing a game and about 30 mins through I experience a crash. This hasn't happened before but just before I got the utility I installed new drivers for my 8800gts, and I had been using RivaTuner to overclock my graphics card, but it said it hasn't been tested with the drivers I had had in. Anyway I know this is really confusing but I don't know what to do because I found out it was a graphics driver related issue so I don't know if I reinstall the driver, install my old driver, get rid of the utility, maybe both I don't know. any help would be great.

OS overclocking utilities don't have a good rep, BIOS OC'ing is a much better way of doing things.

Anyway, first OC the CPU and run OCCT for a few hours to make sure it's stable, do separate CPU and RAM tests, then OC the GFX and run 3DMark to test it.

Buy doing and testing in stages you can see exactly where you are going wrong if it becomes unstable.

This piece of software came with my motherboard to. Official overclocking software but I cannot over clock anything on the board. The only thing I can change is the memory clock speed

Then use the BIOS. "Official overclocking software" is still overclocking software - and overclocking your FSB outside of the BIOS does not ever work as well as it should.
