HEllo all...brand new to the forums and need some help! About a year and half ago i built a fairly decent computer....just to hit it in the high places its has a AMD FX-57 2.18 GhZ processor, 2 Nvidia 7800GTX videocards, and 3 hard drives...2 of them being 10,00 rpm WD Raptors. I am looking at buying a new 17" MacBook Pro to have at college bc my computer now is just to big. The Processor on the MBP is a Intel Core Duo 2.4 Ghz. my question is...which is a faster processor...the AMD FX-57 2.18 Ghz or the 2.4Ghz INtel Core Duo??? thanks for your help!!!

The C2D by far, although I am not quite sure which FX-57 you are talking about? because I think AMD only released a FX-57 San Diego which was 2.8Ghz
And the FX-57 is only single core
