this may seem a dumb question, but if i get a motherboard with a FSB of 1600Mhz is it backward compatible with a cpu of a FSB of 1333Mhz
EDIT: also if i get the higher FSB one will i get an advantage if i still use a cpu with ...

Exactly as Carbon saidm the 1600Mhz fsb is only for the top of the range processors (atleast in the intel line) such as the qx9770, or for overclocking orther processors
