Hi guys

Tried to increase the cpu speed...just tried to increase it by 1 ghz ha,and yes now it wont post.

Tried to reset it with jumpers and removing the battery but nothing helps,the pc starts up but the screen remains black so i cant even acess to the bios.


HELP!

did you remove the power cord when you took the battery out?

Take the power lead out as mctw suggested, remove the battery for 24hrs and then retry it

You only need to remove it for 10 seconds, just make sure the main is unplugged and short the cmos batt terminals if need be.

If my memory servesme correctly some motherboards don't clear the bios with just the jumper moved and put back again, 1 of my motherboards required turning on with the jmper in the clear cmos position and then turning off and the jumper replacing in the original position, check your motherboard manual if nothing else works to see if this is the case with your motherboard
