High Cpu Temp!!! Yes I would definitely install the zalman since you have it. I took a very quick look at some reviews and it seems pretty good although it seems it can be noisy at higher fan speeds. It will definitely do a better job than the Intel stock cooler. You should see lower temps than before with this.
As regards thermal paste I would strongly recommend using something better than the Zalman paste. As I said its not that the zalman paste will be bad but things like Artic Silver 5, etc are proven to be better. A better paste should give you even lower temps by a degree or two.
Glad the wi-fi is working again - sometimes computers can be so temperamental eh!
