Default How do I make my computer run faster? Do I need to buy

ram or just defrag the computer? I have plenty of free space on my computer so I don't know why it's slow.

Ah good yes defrag is good for your computer. possibly also if you have internet (obviuosly you do) then check for spyware, that could slow it down. Yeah you might need to get an upgrade.......IE ram. Other than that I'm not sure. by the way how much do you have? do you know

well putting in more ram would certainly help, i dont know what you currently have though. but yes defragging would help it run faster along with clearing your temp internet files, cookies, and history. also running a spyware like adaware will get rid of spyware. spyware will also slow down your computer. also if you want to clean your registry here is a free download, works good http://www.tune-up.com/

Usually defragging works really well and erasing any unnecessary material.

thecompdr@gmail.comDefraggin" is Always a good idea; there are also a number of ways to help speed up your current system without making any hardware changes, this would be a good place to start, then, if it's not enough, you can always upgrade RAM. For XP or Vista users.. Start....Run...type in "cmd" hit enter. In the command prompt type the following.... chkdsk C: /f /x /r and hit enter.. It will come back up and tell you that the current drive is in use and ask you if you want to perform this task the next time windows starts.. Type "Y" hit enter.. type exit .. hit enter and restart system. This is a 5 stage process that will check your operating system for errors and overwrite any missing or corrupt dll or registry files.Next I would get a good registry cleaner, such as "Error Killer""PC Registry Cleaner" or "Amust" I think the last one is free and it's not bad. Definitely DEFRAG too! Need any help, email me at thecompdr@gmail.com
