Default How Do I Remove My RAM?

left? Hi,I am about to get rid of my old desktop (thinking about donating, recycling, etc.) and needed a question answered. I want to remove my 2 RAM memory sticks (125 and 512) from the tower. If I do that...what is the state of the hard drive? Will it still be useable? Will any of my old info be stored on it still? I'd just like to know what it will be able to do when I remove the RAM.Thanks

Yes , you will have all of your data stored on the hard drive. Because hard drive always has permanent storage of data . RAM is used to store the data temporarily.

Hi Sugarpie

Just removing Ram will not remove data from your Hard Drive, if you intend recycling, etc please read on how to remove all data with DBAN in this thread >
