I have a gateway ML3109 laptop. It currently has an Intel Celeron M 520 @ 1.6 Ghz processor.

I hate the celeron. It sucks. I want to upgrade the processor. The socket type is(mPGA479M).
Will this processor work? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819111176
Yes I know it's expensive but I have a connection that can get me it for $200 USD.

My question is. With the Dothan work?

Also. I am just curious if I can get a dual core for my lappy instead? I've been doing some reasearch and I don't think I can but I may be wrong.

Thanks for any answers or advice

Nope, you cant get a dual core if the mobo wasnt designed for it. As for the Pentium M, I'm not too sure.. you'd have to double check the socket and voltages and FSB and such before you went for the upgrade (for the Pentium M they are in the specifications tab in the link you provided.) I've googled the Celeron, the FSB is ok but I can't find voltages so not certain whether you could upgrade or not, should be fine but no guarantees.
