Invalid CPU.

Default Invalid CPU.
A mate's computer restarted a few times on its own. That isn't happening any more but now on start up, at POST, along with all the POST information, he gets the message CPU has been changed or CPU invalid (I think) and to press F1 to continue or del for set up. On pressing F1 computer starts as normal and works perfectly. This happens on each start up. Could the restarts have been due to a PSU issue and would a CMOS reset help? All the settings in BIOS are correct.

Default Invalid CPU.
Normally this message will continue until you enter the bios and re-save the settings.

If that doesn't work re-set to bios defaults save and exit, then re-enter and set the correct settings and save and exit.

Could also be a duff bios battery.
