Ok, so I have had this CPU for a while. Intel Pentium D E2160 (Dual-Core) running at stock 1.8GHz.

I decided to play around and OC it a 'lil.

I have managed to get to 2.8Ghz and it's still only idling at around 40 degree C. Is this normal as I it seems very low temperature for such a significant increase in speed with only the stock heatsink/fan.

The thing that causes the most significant increase in temps is the voltage. If you've not had to up this too much that temp wouldn't surprise me for that cpu.

Nice oc as well.

Said a million times on here that the E21 series of core2's is overlooked. Great performers when oc'd and terrific value for money when you take into account the performance gains for the cost.

WOW, that is seriously impressive considering the stock processor cooler and the RAM. Maybe there's more speed to be got out of it with some overclocking RAM and a quality cooler?
