Default Memory Issues

So this could get pretty lengthy. Anyways, I've been having some random restarts that the BSOD traces to look like it is due to memory. Sure enough when I ran a memory test, it said that it was bad. I have an asus a7n8x deluxe mobo that has 3 memory slots. In each one I have a 512 stick. Anyways, I took all but one stick out and ran the memory test on each stick one by one and it came up with no problems. So I tried adding another stick to the middle slot to test to see if it was a slot issue. When I had two sticks in at once both sticks being identical the test failed. So then I went back and tested each stick on the middle slot one by one and get no errors. So it seems that this mobo doesn't like more than one stick of memory plugged in at a time. When I just have one 512 stick plugged in the system runs fine and I get no BSODs or failed memory tests. I really don't know what else to check. I looked in the BIOS settings to see if there was anything limiting the amount of memory I could use and found nothing. So yeah any help with this is appreciated. It seems confusing I know...

this may or may not help but you could try underclocking the ram in the bios a bit to give it some breething space. so for example if your ram is 533mhz underclock it to 400mhz etc
