Default MoBo and Ram voltages....

Can someone confirm for me whether these two will work together?

Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3 REV1
TWIN2X2048-6400C4 2x1GB 240-Pin DIMM XMS2-6400 CL4

Not sure about the voltages as I know the Mobo can supply 1.8V but read somewhere that the RAM may need more...

Yes, it does. It natively supports ddr2 1066mhz which requires more voltage than stock-speed 800mhz ram.

So they should work together, but if I want to O/C, the RAM should cope.

Yup.

A question though, purely for my curiousity: Why the Gigabyte board? Why not a P5k-E?

You'll be especially limited on cpu hsf's considering the amount of copper scaffolding on the GByte, so oc'ing might be troublesome.

Main reason is price. I've found the GByte board for about £15 cheaper than the P5K, and O/Cing is not my biggest aim...

Anyway... Thanks for the advice, I should be ordering everything tonight. :D
