It may be a first build, but that shouldn't stop you. The computer in my sig is my first build.

Personally I don't rearly mind about open box, as afterall, you can get the manual online (atleast I'm pretty sure you could) and you can order the cables seperatly. So if you decide you rearly like that board you could just do that.

I agree, the only problem being that most SATA cables are a £5 a pop, and it is nice to have a printed manual to help when you are attaching front headers etc.

Also, you always wander why it was returned / in an open box.
