I'm thinking about upgrading my processor.
My current CPU information follows: AMD Sempron 3200+ Socket 939 90 nm 1.435 V 1803.8 MHz Single Core Single Thread My current Motherboard information follows: ASUS A8N-VM CSM NVIDIA GeForce 6150 Chipset NVIDIA nForce 410/430 MCP Southbridge I want to upgrade to this: Intel Core 2 Duo E8500 LGA775 Socket 45 nm 1333 FSB 0.85V – 1.3625V So my question is, will my current motherboard support this new processor? |

AMD and Intel use completely different architectures and sockets. It wouldn't fit, let alone work. My System: FordyPC
