Ok, I have reset BIOS by removing the batery and no change. I also tried using the PSU from my old PC. Still no change. I tested it using both PCI-E slots and both GeForce cards.
Does this mean that the MoBo is damaged? Is there anything else it could be? I have fiddled around with CPU heatsinks, the CPU wouldnt be damaged would it? Though I have ran the PC using the ATI card for a couple hours so dont think it could be CPU really... Anyone got any ideas/advice? Thanks in advance.

Hmm..
I find it hard to see that it's a faulty motherboard if it will work with ATI but not nVidia.. Unless theres extra contacts for nVidia cards, and it's those ones that are faulty - but to the best of my knowledge, no such thing exists..

The only difference between the two branded cards is that the GeForce require a separate power connection, the ATI does not. But thats just cause it's an older card.
If it isn't likely a MoBo issue, what else could it be?

Not just older cards that require supplemantary power, plenty of modern cards also do, usually higher end ones.
To be honest I'm at a loss here, I guess it could be the Video Circuit on the mobo, rather than the connection itself. How does warranty stand? Or do you have a spare you can try anyway?

Things just get stranger...
Just took it into a local computer shop. The guy tested the board with my RAM, the 8800 and his keyboard/monitor and the thing worked. 5 hours later I come home to try it with my keyboard/monitor and it still doesn't work. Thats trying two different powersupplies with no other components attached. Going to try a different monitor now...getting tired of this, will update, thanks for your help and time :)
