Ok I think I've decided to go with these, bearing in mind I already have a hard drive and a dvd/cd combo.

I think these should all be compatible, but if anyone else more experienced thinks different could they let me know. (I'm not sure about the PSU in the case)

and finally would this be the correct lead to connect the graphics card to my hdmi tv?

Sorry for being a bit slow on the uptake, Google's teaching me slowly. Thanks

Get a E8400 Intel C2D instead of that AMD. CPU will be the big deal if you want a media center.

The connector (Graphics adapter) you have selected there is a Male connection, with my setup i have a Female connector and my lead has 2 male connections. i believe you need a female adapter as i have only seen HDMI leads with 2 MALE connections.

If i am wrong let me know.

Maybe this one http://www.ebuyer.com/product/79223

Or one of these http://www.ebuyer.com/search/?qfind=DVI+to+HDMI+adapter

Thanks guys, Carbon I can't really afford the E8400 as i'm on a bit of a budget. I've read reviews of all the components and i'm happy with them. I just wasn't sure if they would all be compatible or not?

Either way they should be a vast improvement on my celeron d 2.6 ghz!
