Default Motherboard that supports two quad core

Is there any motherboard that supports up to 2 quad core? Becuz mac pro and dell dimension can have up to 2 quad core. So is there any motherboard that supports 2 quad cores?...

There is but, frankly, unless you're building a server, or your main usage is folding then you'd have to be completely shot away to want to build a computer around it.

the new amd 74 fx or summet is meant to use 2 phsical chips so that would require a 2 chip mobo.

True, but why go for 2 AMD dual cores, setup as a quad, running FB dimms of ram when you can get a single cpu with 4 cores in the shape of an Intel?

You'd have to be nuts, not least because of the cost......and heat......and power required.......and the lousy ram......and the cost of that ram.
