Hey,

Recently i bought a new MSI P43 Neo-F Motherboard as a replacement and upgrade board from my old one.

However when i set it all up in my system and booted it up nothing happens, everything starts up etc but no display, no beeps and no flickering of memory lights (i have tracer memory).

I have a Pentium D820 and the motherboard chipset is an Intel P43.
Are these two compatible?
I cant think of any other reasons why this is happening, i have several times checked checked and checked again.

Everything else is fine, nothing is faulty, although i don't have another CPU to try in the motherboard.

This is the second time this has happend.
It says on several websites the chipset supports core 2 duo's and core 2 quads as well as celeron.

Then in my manual it says it supports pentium dual core processors too. Although the manual is for the P45 motherboard too.

Anyone have any experience with the P43 chipset and CPU or both?

All help is much appreciated.
Thanks. Tom

Thanks for the link Dave
Looks like i may need to buy a Core 2 Duo CPU.

I'm looking for one under £80 and is very good for overclocking...
Any ideas on which is the best to get?

Much appreciated
Thanks

The E7400 should come around that price and will do just about anything really quick.
