| Hi everyone I bought 2 new 1gb RAM cards for my HP computer and when I tried them, no combination of them worked(I bought high density chips but my comp takes low density chips...oops) so i switched back to my old 128MB card...Now my computer wont turn on...when i plug it in a light at the back of the comp flashes green quickly..the on button does nothing...my theory is that I could have fried my old 128MB card...any opinions would be much appreciated... |

| Thanks for the reply...I checked and my computer can hold 2GB of memory...The problem was tha I used high density RAM and my motherboard cant support this apparently...The last combination of RAM I tried was my old 128MB card in slot 1 and the new 1GB card in slot 2, the comp booted but only recognised the 128MB,that was the last time my computer turned on..would this combination have fried the old RAM or the motherboard? |
