Therese something not quite right.

The PC still isn't stable, its failing Intel Burn Test, as you can probably see.

The temps are good.

But, you voltages seem crazy!

Going up to 1.84 should have blown up your CPU by now so I don't think it can really be that high....

What voltage do you have set in the BIOS?

I'm going to ask someone else to come and have a look at this and see if they can shed any light on it.

no no sorry my mistake...i meant 1.184 not 1.84...my bad

i had the voltage set to 1.4 and in cpu-z it said 1.168 which is the same as when i had the voltage set to auto and to 1.35...

Also, can you check you have disabled in the BIOS:
  • C1E
  • EIST
  • TM2
  • C.I.A.2

TM2 was enabled...i orginally disabled it but you said i could enable it...i wonder if this is why the cpu-z was showing such low voltages when i set it higher? regulating the voltages?

everything else is disabled

nope tm2 didnt change the voltage in cpu-z...i just tried again.

im wondering why the voltage in that program will not go above 1.184...even when i manually set it to 1.4...weird.

I think I have realised what the problem is.

You need to update the BIOS. Do you know what revision you are running at the moment?

I'll let you Google on how to correctly update the BIOS, as I must sleep now.

If you cannot work out how to do it, then I will be able to help more tonight.

FYI, once you get the new BIOS loaded, make sure you first load up, go into the BIOS, choose to Load Optimized Defaults, then reboot, then continue with overclocking and setting up as normal.

Also, use a USB Stick to update. You'll have to Google how.

Sorry for the confusion with TM2, it doesn't really matter, but can be left on.

Server i hate to be a pain, but after researching and seeing the potential risks involved with updating the bios this is not something i just want to jump into. If you would please explain a little to me about what needs to be done i would appreciate it. And what do you mean by updating using a usb stick?

Im just not real clear on how to go about this....sorry.
