Im just not real clear on how to go about this....sorry.
No problem.

But I'm afraid you're going to have to give me until this evening to do it because I'm going out now.

I think the problem is that actaully the changes you make in the BIOS are not actually sticking and the voltages are just being wrongly reported in CPU-Z.

Right.

You need to download the latest BIOS (F6a) from here http://tw.giga-byte.com/Support/Moth...ProductID=2778

Then put it on a USB Pen.

Go into the BIOS, and press F8. Then its pretty much a matter of following the simple instructions on what to do.

Then, restart and go back to the BIOS, and find a select Load Optimised Defaults, Save Changes and then exit the BIOS.

Then go and set things back up as before.

alright...here is where i am at.

3.6ghz
758mhz ram speed
6 6 6 18 timiings
1.36v
idle temp=32 load temp=49

also i bumped the fsb +.1v and ram+.1v

i cannot get intel burn to run on max stress so i ran orthos for 5min and it didnt fail...i know i hsould run it for hours and i will do that over the night tonight.

Does this seem to be like a good OC for my first time? and is there anything else i can do to get more out of this? anything to ram timiings or they are fine?

my cpu says max voltage of 1.36 while orthos is running it is getting 1.328-1.344 but when orthos stops it says its getting 1.36 is it ok to bump that voltage a little above the max voltage?

It all seems good except your CPU voltage is a bit high. Not dangerous, just not ideal.

Have you tried running lower volts through it? Or bumping up the FSB voltage a little more and reducing the CPU voltage.

I can get 3.6Ghz stable at 2.88V in CPU-Z but my motherboard has Load Line Calibration which basically means it keeps the voltage the same.

Does your motherboard have this? It might have been added in the new BIOS.

Your RAM is pretty cheap so I'd say it was doing well.
