Well you can't fiddle around with all the settings or use the specific tests I don't think.

I've never had need for the full one, all I use it for is getting the bench and checking for stability in a demanding game.

Sorry to bring up and old thread again.

So how is it going thingy, what overclock did you end up settling at?

ended up at 2.85, but i think it can go a lot higher, as that was with all settings on auto, but whenever I tried manually setting the voltages, it seemed to fail no matter what I used. Also, I don't think it was even that stable at 2.85 as I kept getting windows errors which I think were due to that as I re-installed and reverted BIOS settings back to default and it's fine, but I've been meaning to give it another go, I just haven't had the chance. Unfortunately, this motherboard didn't seem as easy to OC with as the reviews I read seemed to say, but that might just be me being very inexperienced with it.

Ok, well I'm dragging this out of the dump to let you all know I'm giving it another go, and I am starting it all properly from the beginning this time (no auto voltages)

Unfortunately My CPU seems to be needing a lot of voltage to be able to overclock stably, as I currently have it on 1.408V (according to CPU-Z) and it appears to be stable at 2.9GHz (I had to increase the voltage to get anything more than about 2.6GHz out of it) however I'm leaving that on tonight to check as I've just increased the voltage as it failed earlier. If anyone's interested (either to learn for yourself, to see if you can help me improve, or just because your interested) I could take photos of all my BIOS settings, and post them here.

The hottest my CPU seem's to have got is 55C however that is after it has been at 100% load for quite a while, and the CPU fan is only spinning at about 50% at the moment I think (It is temperature controlled) but it is in an air conditioned room at about 22C

Think that's all from me for this evening, I'll let you all know how it turns out when I get up in the morning
