Default My New Build

Does anybody have a clue as to why I'm getting no POST beep having just built my system. Everything spins up but nothing else happens

I've changed the motherboard, still the same. I've got a hunch that it might be the wrong sort of RAM, I've built numerous PC's in the past and I've never had a CPU fail on me straight out of box. My only other hunch is that it maybe a short but I'm not sure where to start on that one.

Well the only thing you can do is double check your work. Then replace each component until you isolate the fault.
The first place I would look for a short would be where the motherboard connects to the case/mobo tray for misplaced screws etc.

Default My New Build

i had a very similar problem my new build would start up all the lights would turn on and the screen remand blank. so i connected a speaker to the motherboard nothing.. i was using ram from my old pc and i didn't check if it was supported the thing is my brother has the same ram and almost the same motherboard as me but his works. In the end i got 2x 1 gig G.skill ram 1066mhz and works perfectly.
