I have heard very little about this "video corruption problem" and throwing out two separate chipsets for the reason isn't very reasonable. There are hundreds/thousands of positive reviews of these boards.

Anyway, the only way you're going to be able to get SLI is to do 750, 780, or 680.

How so? They're a 8800GTS SLI in a box. They're not quite as cost-efficient as simply buying a SLI motherboard and two 8800GTS/8800GTs but they're fine for what they are.

i feel the whole 9xxx series is a joke. the performance upgrade is nothing astounding, and i think its cuz Nvidia had no motivation (aka no competition from ATI) and just wanted some more money so they put together silly little upgrades and slapped a 9 with 3 numbers behind it so they looked like they were bringing super good cards out. as we have seen in the past, dual GPU cards arnt great. (IE: 7950 GX2) its just my opinion. but if those are TRULY my only options, which is the best chipset (for stable Overclocking) and which brand makes the best version of it? I also would like PCI-E 2.0 on it.

You could think about getting a 790i, however those require DDR3 RAM, so I'm not sure if your wanting that.
