probably. You need a good seat of thermal paste between your heatsink and your processor. otherwise it won't be able to efficiently and effectively transfer heat away from the cores.

This is probably the main reason. You should try cleaning your fans and the parts in your case with some of that canned air stuff, just make sure everything's free of dust. If you want (or you think you really really need it) if your case has room for another fan, stick one in there.

hope that helps

if you want, you can take a fan that you're using in your room and point it in the side. and leave the side cover off. that's if all else fails or you want to be cheap. it'll do the same job. but either way, chris said it pretty well.

by the looks of it, you'll definitely be forced into buying paste. make sure you know how to scrape off the old layer of paste, and apply the new, or ask one of us if you're too lazy to read the instructions or you're curious right now.

cable management is another issue. good airflow inside the case is vital. and you wouldn't think it, but all those cables in there can obstruct airflow in a big way. so in addition to cleaning it out, you may want to think about breaking out some twisty-ties and making everything tidy as well.
