my motherboard is k8v-x se
processor athlon 64 overclocked to 2.07 ghz
1gb sick of ddr ram

my bios needs re installing (reason is below) i have my cd for my motherboard and i inserted the cd when the bios was saying (bios corrupt checking for backup in cd drive.. it found my bios on my cd and installed it said finished then restarted the bios found my hdd and began to boot then said (warning unknown processor) and it halted so i cant even get into the bios when i push (delete) as it halts and wont go any Luther. that lead me to think write it must be an old bios on my disk and i need a up to date one so i downloaded a new one of asus website and burned the .Rom file to disk but my bios scans the cd drive and wont pick the new bios up of the disk i allso made an iso file and burned that to disk and tried that the bios scan the cd drive found the new bios but then said something was missing.

i hope someone can help me as iv used about 20 odd dvd cds trying to get the bios on
----------------------------------------
how this problem all started
----------------------------------------
i bought a 1gb ddr 400 memory stick of ebay. i installed it booted pc up got into windows everything was ok then 20 minutes later i got blue screen of death. that lead me to think the memory stick is damaged. i used a boot disk to do a memory diagnostic on the memory witch the scan said no problems found on my 2 sticks of 1 gb each. so i then swooped the sticks round in the memory slots.booted and got into windows then my pc just randomly restarted.. so i thought it has to be memoryi got of ebay was incompattabble with my 1gb sick i allready had in there. so i tuck out my stick of ram and left the ebay stick in there and booted my pc..again my pc just restarted 10minites brousing the internet..as my pc restarted my bios said (bios currupt checking cd rom drive for backup) i have now removed the memory stick and put my stick of ram in i no is ok but having problems getting a bios on
