Default need help motherboard

hello i am trying to build myself a gaming computer the cpu is Intel Core 2 Quad - Q6600 - 95W G0 stepping and i dont know a good motherboard to go with it any help would be good i will have about 90 pounds max

here is a good motherboard. it has a 1333 fsb so it is compatible with the quads and it has sli, raid, ddr2 800 etc. and prices start at about 60 pounds on ebay!!

i have now got about 150pounds to spend what is the asus striker extreme like or is there a better one

The Striker is the best SLI board on the market today. But if you're not going dual-card then it's a waste of (a lot) of money.

the thing is you only need an expensive motherboard for extreme overclocking, go for a motherboard around your origional budget and use the extra money for some good ram or some good cooling equipment etc.

i think i will go for the striker extreme it will last longer and i will not have to upgrade as soon.what power supply is a good one, they have got some on ebay but they look very cheap and nasty dont realy want to go over 50 quid.the system will be q6600 quad core.asus striker extreme mobo.twin 8800gt and a couple of neons. OCZ 2GB Kit (2x1GB) DDR2 800MHz/PC2-6400 CL 4-4-4-15 PLATINUM memory.

INTEL Q6600 QUAD CORE SLACR G0 STEPPING CPU(£161 ebuyer)
Asus P5N-E SLI 650i Socket 775 PCI-E(£66.36 ebuyer)
GeIL 4GB (4x1GB) PC2-6400C4 800MHz Ultra Low Latency DDR2 Dual(£71 overclockers)
i will run windows xp, hopefully should be quick
the pc i am running now is a tiny tornado 3500+ so i should notice some difference and kick some a**
