So...I just built a new PC buying all the components from newegg. I got them all yesterday and happily began building my new rig. The components I bought are as follows.
BLU-RAY DRIVE LITE-ON| IHOS104-06 % 1 59.99 MEM 2Gx2|OCZ OCZ2P10664GK R 2 53.99 VGA SAPPHIRE|100269VXL HD4890 RT 1 199.99 PSU CORSAIR|CMPSU-750TX 750W RT 1 119.99 MB ASUS P5Q PRO TURBO 775 RT 1 134.99 CPU INTEL|C2Q Q9550 2.83 775 12M R 1 219.99 HD 1T|SEAGATE 7K ST31000528AS OEM MNTR ASUS|LCD 23" 2MS VH236H RT and finally..... CASE AZZA| CSAZ-1000 RT I took precautions to make the case look nice and everything and secured the mobo. I also made sure all my connections were right. Or so I think? After powering on the computer all power starts up, but the machine doesn't post. When I get home from work I'm going to do some testing to see if it might be the RAM or something. I called ASUS and they told me to reset the CMOS and check my BIOS version. Also, on the sapphire video card the power stays on and I can't power down the box via holding down the power switch. Which is a little odd to me because I can power on the machine via the power switch. It seems like a mother board issue to me. Could plugging in the main 12v ATX power to the mobo be the issue? I thought it was in properly but it's been a long time since I've built a computer. I was just wondering if anyone else has had an issue such as this, and what they did to resolve it. I'm guessing it's a motherboard issue, but I wanted a second opinion. Thanks alot. Vienessewaltzer |

"I loved the P182 so much that, when my wife's system was all noisy and needed all sorts of cleaning, I bought her one. Then, when I wanted a cat, I bought a P182. The P182 is not a cat per se, but it's still an excellent buy."
