Default New PC Cooling Issues - E8400 - 75-80c

Hi, I recently built a new PC using a GA-x48-ds5 Gigabyte motherboard, intel e8400 dual core (3.0ghz 9x333 Not OCed.), 2 sticks of 2gb (4gb total) corsair xms2 ddr2 800 memory, evga geforce 9800gt grfx card, MASSCOOL 8WA741 92mm Ball CPU Cooler (also applied Tuniq TX-2 Thermal Compound before installing the cpu cooler), raidmax smilodon case (stock fans) and installed windows 7 x64 latest build on the HDD.

The pc boots up fine with no problems or errors and it detects all the hardware I've added but while playing a game and monitoring the temps with SpeedFan I've noticed they will reach 75-80c when hitting full load and sometimes the pc will even freeze if I go into a really populated area on an MMORPG such as WoW and I'm sure it's not the graphics card causing the freeze since it shows from 80 - 120fps (even in the highly populated areas and the graphics are set to high) and no graphic errors or laggingness occurs at any time.

Any help would be appreciated and I'll do my best to help answer any questions. Thanks for your time.

note: Most of the things I know are just from reading up on computers and I am still learning and so am still an amateur at this and hope you guys keep that in mind and not be too hard on me

That's way too hot.

These programs aren't always accurate - it may not really be that hot.

If it is however it may well just be poorly applied paste or something li

check that your heatsink is on proper, the you really have to force the pushpins on socket 775 now! I had a similar issue, then my heatsink quite literally feel off, which kinda gave the issue away :-P
