I recently started building my 2nd custom computer and I have a SATA HD so thats not the problem I just noticed my Dvd-burner Drive Requires a 40-pin IDE cable...like normal but then i notice there is not 40-pin IDE Connector on my motherboard what should i do? Ive seen some IDE Adapters for 40-pin but all I see is for Hard Drives will they work for dvd burners? or some thing else please let me know what you think?

If there is definitely no IDE socket on the mobo, dont mess about with adaptors on a new build ... just grab a SATA DVD Burner, they are so cheap now (probably not much more than an adaptor) and a much better solution.
