ok, is there any software that will allow me to create a log of my performance so i can compare when it was not overclocked to being overclocked?

3DMark'll do it, just run the CPU test.

ok so ive reached a point where it now reachs freezing it failed to boot at 2.7Ghz, did boot when CPU:DRAM ratio was changed to 1.33:1.00 but i felt it was slower, so its been taken down to 2.62Ghz, and the ratio put back to 1.00:1.00, i belived it failed to boot due to lack of volts but can find no where to change this, it has been taken down to 2.62Ghz becaus i know its not at its very limit here is some info.

Doesn't matter - did some research and you can't change the volts of Celerons anyway. Looks as if this is the highest you'll be able to go. You could take the lower speed memory out and try then to see if you should buy a gig or so of that and if it'd increase the OC, but I doubt you'll get much more out of it.

£250 will buy you a lot more than you think, lol.

You won't be able to upgrade to a C2D on that motherboard. It's Socket 478, not 775. :/

yea i know that i cant put a core 2 duo in but was just wanderin what would be the best value for money cpu, i dont fancie overclocking as the core 2 duo's can be expensive, but one that has a good possibilty later in life, and will be stable when overclocked later in life
