| Which one is better? NAME: P4 631/P4 550 BUS SPEED: 800MHZ/800MHZ CACHE SIZE: 2MB/1MB CLOCK SPEED: 3.00GHZ/3.40GHZ DIE SIZE: 65NM/90NM The cache size is bigger on 631 but the clock speed on the 550 is better and one is smaller (631) too.....so which one is it gunna be??? ![]() Thanks, ![]() Last edited by Blazing933 : 24th Oct 2007 at 02:38 AM. |

| For gaming: The 550, as the larger cache of the 631 won't make any noticeable difference in frame rates. For other use: Either to be frank, the higher clock speed will negate most of the advantage of the extra 1mb cache in the 631 but this will be application dependent. The 550 will run a lot hotter though because of the higher clock speed and also because it's 90nm fab meaning the switches are that much further apart.
