I have a moderate machine.i.e E6300@1.86,2GB Kingstone DDR2 800 Mhz, Intel original dg965 ryck mainboard,windows XP SP2, recently i have purchased a palit radeon 4850 sonic special edition GDDR5 512 MB 700/900.Though it is a good card but in some games like COD5:WaW or far cry 2 i am ...

Palit Radeon 4850 Graphics Card Problem
Hi,
I have a moderate machine.i.e E6300@1.86,2GB Kingstone DDR2 800 Mhz, Intel original dg965 ryck mainboard,windows XP SP2, recently i have purchased a palit radeon 4850 sonic special edition GDDR5 512 MB 700/900.Though it is a good card but in some games like COD5:WaW or far cry 2 i am getting moderate frame rates.e.g when i am testing with far cry 2 default benchmarking tool with everything set to very high @ 1280*1024 and 4x antialiasing(DX9), i am geting 28 to 29 frame rate.Is it due to my processor?Also Antialiasing is not working in BIA:HH and Chronicles of Riddik:EFBB and DA.My driver version is 9.1,Please help.. secondly, can i use a 500va UPS with a 550w PSU?my psu is 550w corsair vx series and my UPS is wipro 500va. |

Try updating to 9.5drivers for Riddick
I would say that your corsair is powerful enough for your setup, but you setup is not powerful enough for maxing out W@W. I cant remember the exact setup I had was but with a 4850 and E8500 and I could not max out COD5@1680x1050
