Ok sadly most pre-built's can't be overclocked. At this point I'd consider buyin a new pc or building one yourself.

1000 MHz ouch i bet thats slow hehe i use ot have a 1000mhz amd that wos slow..replaced it with a 2ghz amd and now i can injoy my custom pc as i should doo hehe

mite be worth a look in the bios and see if you can mess with the cpu speed ect (you mite have to change jumpers on the motherboard tho to do this i dont recomend tho)i did with my old amd unfortanatly it couldent handle eney overclocking..wel non that made eney real porformance

Hi Danny, yeah it is.

But it's going to depend on a few things: mainly your bios. As it's a prebuilt (by emachines- PC world brand name by the way) manufacturers usually lock out the menus in the bios that enables you to oc.

It'll also depend on the cooler you have for the cpu, I'm guessing its the stock intel reference cooler?

And the motherboard, especially in top locked cpu's (which you have), needs to be decent as the only way to oc a top locked cpu is with the fsb on the motherboard.

Check the bios first to see if the voltage options are greyed out, if so, you're stuck.
