i have found out that my comp can take DDR2 PC2-4200,DDR2 PC2-5300,DDR2 PC2-6400 buts whats the difference with these, should i just go for the one with the biggest number

there all different speeds go for the highest speed (pc 6400)

Personally it's a toss up between speed and value.

Say PC5300 is £20 and PC6400 is £100.

There may be a tiny speed difference but not £80 worth.

Also .... if you mix different speeds, you will only achieve the speed of the slowest stick.
