Hello,
I'm a new user here so my appologies if this question is already answered; couldn't find anything on the forum. It seems that my ram is not working right. I have checked it with CPUz these are the results: --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Processor 1 ID = 0 Number of cores 2 (max 2) Number of threads 2 (max 2) Name Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 Codename Conroe Specification Intel(R) Core(TM)2 CPU 6600 @ 2.40GHz Package (platform ID) Socket 775 LGA (0x0) CPUID 6.F.6 Extended CPUID 6.F Core Stepping B2 Technology 65 nm Core Speed 2400.2 MHz Multiplier x FSB 9.0 x 266.7 MHz Rated Bus speed 1066.7 MHz Stock frequency 2400 MHz Instructions sets MMX, SSE, SSE2, SSE3, SSSE3, EM64T L1 Data cache 2 x 32 KBytes, 8-way set associative, 64-byte line size L1 Instruction cache 2 x 32 KBytes, 8-way set associative, 64-byte line size L2 cache 4096 KBytes, 16-way set associative, 64-byte line size FID/VID Control yes FID range 6.0x - 9.0x Max VID 1.325 V Memory SPD ------------------------------------------------------------------------- DIMM # 1 SMBus address 0x50 Memory type DDR2 Module format Regular UDIMM Manufacturer (ID) A-Data Technology (7F7F7F7FCB000000) Size 1024 MBytes Max bandwidth PC2-6400 (400 MHz) Part number DQVE1A08 Manufacturing date Week 53/Year 08n Number of banks 1 Data width 64 bits Correction None Nominal Voltage 1.80 Volts EPP no XMP no JEDEC timings table CL-tRCD-tRP-tRAS-tRC @ frequency JEDEC #1 3.0-3-3-9-12 @ 200 MHz JEDEC #2 4.0-4-4-12-16 @ 266 MHz JEDEC #3 5.0-5-5-18-23 @ 400 MHz DIMM # 2 SMBus address 0x51 Memory type DDR2 Module format Regular UDIMM Manufacturer (ID) A-Data Technology (7F7F7F7FCB000000) Size 1024 MBytes Max bandwidth PC2-6400 (400 MHz) Part number DQVE1A08 Manufacturing date Week 38/Year 08n Number of banks 1 Data width 64 bits Correction None Nominal Voltage 1.80 Volts EPP no XMP no JEDEC timings table CL-tRCD-tRP-tRAS-tRC @ frequency JEDEC #1 3.0-3-3-9-12 @ 200 MHz JEDEC #2 4.0-4-4-12-16 @ 266 MHz JEDEC #3 5.0-5-5-18-23 @ 400 MHz DIMM # 3 SMBus address 0x52 Memory type DDR2 Module format Regular UDIMM Manufacturer (ID) PQI CORP. I tried to get them both to run at 333 mhz in bios (i recon those 'Jedec #3' will be the same then) but i just cannot find it... Does anyone know where in bios the menu is to get them all 4 running at 333 or 400mhz? Or should i stop messing about and buy me two more sticks of 1gb 400mhz? I am running xp 32bit so i shouldnt have this much Ram anyway but the diffrence i have when running 2gb or 4gb is great in performance. No idea why tho. Thx in advance for your help. |

Should be under FSB or DRAM Ratio, speed doesn't matter though, just set them to be 1:1 with the CPU.
