I've just replaced the 512mb ram in Mums 1 year old Compac with 2gb. It's now so much faster!
Could I put the 512mg in a friends 6 year old e machine pc which only has 128mb and is incredibly slow!? Thanks Rob |

To make an honest reply to this question m8 we need more details
specs of your mums pc and specs of m8s but at a guess id say your mums ram wont fit into the 6yo pc of your friends

What type of ram is the 512mb and what type of ram the 128mb is, run scan each system with http://www.crucial.com/ and it should provide you with the details we need.

I believe both the RAM in your friend's system and your mom's system must be the same speed (ie 1066mhz, 800mhz...).
