First off I'm not a hardcore gammer but,I've been looking at the BFGTech Nvidia 680i A1 board and the p5kc by asus.I like my computer to go fast, just run fast peroid, with everyday aplications,video/picture editting stuff like that. Now I know ram speed plays a
big roll in that, were the 680i supports 800mhz DDR2 ram as too the pk5c supporting
1066 mhz DDR2 & DDR3 1333mhz.Will I notice a big differance between 800mhz & 1066 mhz?Right now DDR3 is way out of my budget.
Which board is better as far as speed? The pk5c is also crossfire ready.

1066 is a higher speed and offers a performance boost.

but no matter what i would stick to the pk5c as it offer ddr3 support. it may not be cheap or mainstream right now, but it will become so soon enough. plan more for the future than immediate benefits followed by immediate upgrades.
