The 5200 Imo its cheaper got better reviews and is just better IMO.

That's what I was thinking also, but I had heard good thing about the Black Edition processors, it's just one of those things, ive never been good at comparing. What's going to happen is I am going to buy one of them, then a week later find a better one for less money

here's the biggest question of all...do you plan on overclocking? because if not, then the Black edition is not worth your time. the Black edition is unlocked so to speak. you can tweak the settings and overclock it as high as maybe 3.2 ghz if you can get it to stabilize there.

but if you don't plan on overclocking, go with the 5200. any review on any site would tell you that for the same price, it's a better buy if you don't overclock.

Thanks link, I just ordered the 5200. The other thing I noticed is that this black edition had 1MB L2 cache, where the 5200 had 2MB L2 cache.

ya the 5200 has a lot more chache the manufacturing tech is greater
