Today, I started up my Asus laptop, and lo and behold there are green squares everywhere!


To make matters worse, none of my games are working anymore, right when I wanted to start a weekend-long TF2 gaming session.:mad:
To clarify: when I say they don't work, I mean to say that they are incredibly slow. I tested World of Goo, and while the loading screens work fine, as soon as I get to the menu, all I see is a black screen with intro music. If I wait long enough (10 seconds), the picture changes, but the game has worked perfectly so far. As for TF2, All my Valve games load up, but when they are about to show the menu, they shut down.
So, I've scoured the internet and can't find the first mention of this or my games anomoly. I really wouldn't mind it so much if my games only worked.

What I've tried so far:
Uninstalling and reinstalling my ATI drivers. When uninstalled, there are no green boxes.
Updated the drivers. Doesn't do anything, and since I have the x1700, there is no point as ATI isn't cover the x1000s anymore.
Reinstalled Directx. Nothing.
Gone to my original drivers that came with the laptop. Removes the green, but the game problem is still there.
I'm convinced it's a driver problem, but I'm not sure exactly what. I haven't done anything out of the ordinary graphics wise, so this problem coming out of the blue like this is worrying.
