In my main 'downstairs' PC, I have an Athlon 64 3400+ rated at 2.4ghz, running at 2.64. The processor has a locked 12x multiplier on it, and incremental FSB and voltage increases, so what could be the reason I can't go up from 2.64 at all, maybe to something like 2.8 and still have a bootable system? After running CPUmark (and getting a score of 5200, which I'm pleased with) and playing Sims 2 for a bit it shut off, so I checked the temps in the BIOS and they were about 45 degrees c, which I know is a decent temperature. In short, what's stopping me from overclocking the system further? Could it be my RAM, motherboard (Asus K8v-X) or voltages??

Running 1gb of pc2500 value ram at the mo, I know its not ideal but you know, well... anyway, the mobo is an Asus K8v-x, the cpu is an Athlon 64 3400+, and 220fsb with a 12x multiplier is exactly right, yep. Is that bad...?
