k, i have a very crappy motherboard but it does recognize athlon xp's though it doesnt work at 133mhz bus, its a GA-7ZX-1 rev 1.0 motherboard...

i got this a long time ago, so i have 2 options as now i am broke..

i have an athlon xp 2600+ AXDA2600DKV3C but i think its a fake because its multiplier is stuck at 10.5x even though i tried it on my friend's asus a7n8x-e deluxe n i couldnt get the multi to unlock, mabye its a superlocked athlon :(... any ways, i cant overclock it since it either hangs or crashes, even if i use CPUCOOL9 which is very good for my normal Athlon 1.3ghz, i have that at 1.43ghz which is ok...

secondly i have a polimino 2100+ but i currently dont have it as it will arrive in a week or so, i seriously need SSE now days for the games i play n i cant seem to bypass them.. :(, so its either one, which one would you guys recomend.. thanks for anything :)

oh and would it be worth trying to set the bus to 133mhz and the memory to 100 because in my motherboard its wierd, i have it set to 133mhz for now but in CPU-Z is says its 33mhz+ system bus, so could it be because of memory being set to 133mhz and system being set to 133mhz which means the memory is actually at 166mhz be true and may post if set to 100mhz on ram or am i just be stupid lol... thanks for any help :)

strange how no one answered your post. What i would recomend is getting the polimino, that is if you can overclock and then use CPUCOOL. also, if your a hardcore gamer and you can't get vista then tweak your windows
http://www.tweakxp.com/article37047.aspx

and if you have a lot more space on your computer, get Ubuntu and use that for your regular things like email, music, movies, ect.......

you will see a big difference if you simply use your windows for gaming, as it sucks for everything else...need any other help, pm me or im me on my msn.
seems like no one else cares about your problem
