We were screwing around with a 790i Ultra and Q9550, over clocking.We had it running at 3.2 on stock air, with the temp at around 70C idle in the BIOS.So we put it back down to stock, and the temps only dropped to about 60C idle.

Yeah, mine was running at about that before i got the Artic Cooling 7 heatsink.
Now it runs at about 45 C idle. Under load it's usually around 50. It definitely runs hot. |
