Hi, can anyone tell me what would happen to my PC if the thermal paste has dried out. My PC seems to work fine for a while then the screen goes blank. On rebooting it will come back on for a while then goes off again. I thought at first it may have been the Graphics card but that works fine in a different PC. I looked at the fan attached to the chip on the motherboard and the paste looks like it has dried out. Would it be worth changing this to see what happens. When I get a blank screen it sounds like the computer is still working as the fan is still going. Thanks for any help.
